Hayao Miyazaki

Vision and imagination, the perfect complement to the stylistic and directorial rigor of the co-founder of Studio Ghibli, Isao Takahata. Unfortunately, he was not always a perfect coordinator of all the narrative material (Howl is the most affected), and subjectively, I have not always appreciated his simplistic view of the world.

Hayao Miyazaki

Hayao Miyazaki (born 1941) is a Japanese animator and filmmaker, co‑founder of Studio Ghibli (1985). His films include My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away (Academy Award for Best Animated Feature), Howl’s Moving Castle, Ponyo, The Wind Rises, and The Boy and the Heron.
