Setting aside the lesser films that every director inevitably encounters along the way, when I think of "Beetlejuice," "Batman," "Batman Returns," "Edward Scissorhands," "Ed Wood," "Sleepy Hollow," "Mars Attacks!" and "Big Fish"... sorry, but I believe a 5 is definitely in order. P.S. I didn’t find his "Planet Of The Apes" all that terrible either, far superior to some of the trash they pass off in theaters today as intelligent entertainment films.
