Gioachino Rossini

People (especially the younger ones) often confuse Mozart's "Le nozze di Figaro" with the famous cavatina "Largo al factotum" from "Il barbiere di Siviglia." Who knows if this eternal mix-up is still contributing to increase its popularity even more?

Gioachino Rossini (1792–1868) was an Italian composer from Pesaro, best known for his operas and overtures such as Il barbiere di Siviglia and the William Tell overture.
