Luciano Cilio

An authentic pioneer, a composer of music impossible to label, and ultimately, a fragile soul defeated by his restlessness and general misunderstanding (too free and "syncretic" for academic circles and too contemplative and metaphysical to be appreciated by fans of mainstream rock). Forgetting his masterpiece "Dialoghi del presente" is a crime if you love "true music."

Luciano Cilio was an Italian composer associated with minimalist and experimental approaches. His 1977 album Dialoghi del presente and the posthumous collection Dell’universo assente have earned enduring esteem for their quiet intensity.
