The Beatles

An average band. They have done nothing but follow the standard of the white rock n'roll band that looks from afar at the Black Masters, like Little Richard and Chuck Berry. Mediocre at an instrumental level, mediocre in terms of lyrics, yet the most influential group in the history of rock. My misanthropy is not entirely unfounded. A few well-arranged songs are enjoyable; at least three-quarters of what they have done is tedious, cloying, fake.
