Snarky Puppy

Musicians with a big attitude, they form more or less an armored division of the Wehrmacht (in terms of number, of course). They span between prog, funk, and jazz with disarming simplicity, and when you hear them live, you can really tell how much they love their craft. And then, the talk box in "sleeping" really gets me (censored) in my pants.

Snarky Puppy

Snarky Puppy is an American jazz-fusion collective formed in 2004 in Denton, Texas, led by bassist-composer Michael League. Renowned for rotating membership and high-energy live recordings, the group has earned multiple Grammy Awards, including Best R&B Performance (2014, with Lalah Hathaway) and Best Contemporary Instrumental Album for Sylva (with Metropole Orkest), Culcha Vulcha, and Empire Central.
