Today they would be labeled as Low-Fi, Post Rock, and who knows what else; 40 years ago, they bypassed all of Italian Progressive, delving into a kraut dimension without borders. Portable madness that is unaligned.

Sensations' Fix

Sensations' Fix is an Italian space-prog group formed in Florence in 1973 by Franco Falsini (guitar, keyboards, vocals) with Richard Ursillo (bass) and Keith Edwards (drums). Their debut Fragments of Light (Polydor, 1974) is often cited as the first Italian space rock album; 1974 also saw Portable Madness and the self-titled Sensation's Fix. Keyboardist Stephen Head joined by 1976 for Finest Finger; later releases include Flying Tapes (1978).
