There are two types of power: the one blended with classic heavy (Running Wild, Grave Digger) and the more proper speed (Blind Guardian, the creators Helloween, etc...). So, considering the second branch, they are certainly the greatest ever existed!

Gamma Ray

Gamma Ray is a German power metal band founded by guitarist/vocalist Kai Hansen after his departure from Helloween. Reviews on DeBaser highlight their 1990s output—especially “Land Of The Free” and “Somewhere Out In Space”—as core releases in European power metal, with later albums often discussed in terms of consistency and live effectiveness.
