Genesis

One of the greatest progressive groups of all time, perhaps only second to Pink Floyd. With Peter Gabriel, they reached incredible heights of perfection; after his departure, they simplified their sound considerably but continued to produce masterpieces. Following Hackett's exit, they gradually slipped into more unabashed pop, but always done well. On Peter Gabriel: excellent composer, visionary poet, and formidable stage animal, but as the voice of the group, Phil Collins is much better.
