Lou Reed

The time with the Velvet Underground deserves a 5, but his solo career no more than a 3... to masterpieces like Transformer and (especially) Berlin, he has added a lot of unnecessary stuff. And don't try to convince me that Metal Machine Music is a work of art, because even my farts sound better.

Lou Reed (born Lewis Allan Reed, March 2, 1942 – October 27, 2013) was an American musician, singer-songwriter and founding member of the Velvet Underground. He had a long solo career noted for albums such as Transformer, Berlin and New York and for experimental works including Metal Machine Music.
