John Mellencamp

Great artist, Puma was one of the best rockers and songwriters of the '80s! Mellencamp is the epitome of the true songwriter, one of the few who took risks to bring his ideas forward. Scarecrow and The Lonesome Jubilee are must-haves in a good record collection; for a better perspective, I also recommend the double compilation Words and Music, which, as a good American would say, contains almost all the highlights of his career!

John Mellencamp is an American singer-songwriter known for heartland and roots rock, with songs often focused on small-town life and social themes. He rose to mainstream success in the early 1980s (notably with American Fool) and later released acclaimed albums including Scarecrow and roots-oriented projects such as Trouble No More.
