Minor Threat

Minor Threat were an American hardcore punk band from Washington, D.C., formed in 1980 by vocalist Ian MacKaye and drummer Jeff Nelson. With Lyle Preslar and Brian Baker, they released two landmark EPs, the LP Out of Step, and the posthumous EP Salad Days on their own Dischord Records. They helped define the Straight Edge ethos and the D.C. hardcore sound before disbanding in 1983.
