SOVIET SOVIET

Excellent "musical phenomenon" in the fertile Italian underground scene. Their sound strongly resembles Joy Division from a more shoegaze and new wave perspective, the only flaw (in my opinion) being the excessive use of reverb. Their track "Ecstasy" from the album "Fate" well represents the potential of this interesting trio.

Soviet Soviet are an Italian post-punk trio from Pesaro formed in 2008 by Andrea Giometti (vocals, bass), Alessandro Costantini (guitar) and Alessandro Ferri (drums). They debuted with the LP Fate on the New York label Felte and followed with Endless, earning attention for intense, driving live shows and international touring.
