Mazzy Star, as much as I liked them ("So Tonight That I Might See" is beautiful), seem almost like "little things" compared to a fucking masterpiece like "Happy Nightmare Baby," ultra-acid/paisley garage rock/call it whatever you want, but it's a masterpiece like few. And the collection of "leftovers" that came out afterward, "Early Recordings," is a masterpiece in the same way, despite being outtakes! Much quieter, dreamier, just as "acidic" and floating... May Satan have them in glory.
