Surf, Garage, ''Alternative'', Hardcore, Power Pop, Silence and Destruction, Melodies and Distortions. A great, happy, and fitting blend. The Pixies have been the foundation and reference point for many bands and musicians. It's unnecessary to say that Surfer Rosa and Doolittle are my favorites (the others like Bossanova I like less but they are still worth a listen).
