Cesare Basile

I'm a bit annoyed seeing certain media getting all worked up talking about half-baked talents like Dente, Brunori, Colapiscio, that other idiot who sings random words, what was his name, Brondi... while someone like Basile, one of the few truly valid singer-songwriters, hardly gets the recognition he deserves compared to his merit.

Cesare Basile is an Italian singer-songwriter from Catania, active since the 1990s. His work blends dark folk and blues with stark storytelling on solitude, marginalization, and spirituality. He has worked with producer John Parish and collaborators including Nada, Marta Collica, and Manuel Agnelli.
