Blasting? What a kind of nerd. But doesn’t it mean “to attack,” “to blame”? I’m saying this is a little band. Far from the best band to come out of Liverpool, the Beatles are just the first glaring example that comes to mind, far from alternative. Your definitions are misleading. Workhorse is a correct one though.
