Monster Magnet

Monumentale. Of course, if after Dopes they had only released Powertrip and Mastermind (which I give a passing grade because I'm nice), we would be talking about a discography that's truly impressive. But the three albums in between are nearly unbearable, with a few gems here and there that hint at how much they could be at another level. The new album 2013 SEEMS to be a return to the space rock of their early days... we'll see.

Monster Magnet is an American stoner/psychedelic rock band formed in 1989 in Red Bank, New Jersey, led by vocalist/guitarist Dave Wyndorf. Renowned for fuzz-drenched riffs and spacey atmospheres, they broke through with Powertrip (1998) and the hit single Space Lord, and remain active.
