Mastodon

I'm not really into prog, so I wouldn't know if that's exactly their genre. I definitely prefer their first two albums, which are pure math-core in the style of Botch. The later albums are too epic for my taste (perhaps, in fact, prog-metal?). The vocals, oh my, they were better when they were growling than when they started to "sing"... I vote for the first two albums.
