Sonic Youth

A group of American junkies who want to make noise with their instruments and produce tons of useless material (also under other names). Ridiculously annoying and boring. Currently praised by Hipsters just like the more commercial Radiohead. Oh, I forgot: they are "leftist" and therefore advocate feminist battles, civil rights, and other bullshit for rich kids blablabla. Anti-communists! The youth must be red, not "sonic."

American experimental rock band formed in New York City in 1981. Core members across their most influential period included Thurston Moore, Kim Gordon, Lee Ranaldo and Steve Shelley; Jim O'Rourke later collaborated and is mentioned as an official member in reviews.
