Karl Marx

Marx was anti-libertarian. His conception of the (Prussian) state was Hegelian in origin, and the dictatorship of the proletariat was understood as a "state dictatorship" (later defined as "socialism" by Lenin). Anarchists and state-ists stay away from Marx. Read Bakunin, Foucault, Chomsky, and whoever the hell you want. But leave Marx alone.
