Holger Czukay

Holger Czukay (1938–2017) was a German musician, co‑founder of Can, and a student of Karlheinz Stockhausen. He pioneered sampling, tape splicing, and radio-sourced collage in rock contexts, bridging avant‑garde methods with pop and krautrock. Solo highlights include Canaxis (1969), Movies (1979), and On the Way to the Peak of Normal (1981).
