With Terminator, he opened a new path in action sci-fi. With Aliens, he hit the jackpot. With Terminator 2, he hit the jackpot. Titanic and Avatar hit the jackpot. One of the most brilliant (and shrewd) minds behind the camera. Then we can discuss whether Welles, Kubrick, or Leone is better; meanwhile, he’s laughing it off.
