Brian Wilson

The Beach Boys have never driven me crazy; while I acknowledge the undeniable quality of Pet Sounds, I’ve never been able to tolerate it too much. But Smile remains a masterpiece, Pop of the noblest ever laid to tape. I bought the Smile Sessions on vinyl, and it was truly money well spent.

Brian Wilson

American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer; co-founder and chief architect of the Beach Boys’ sound. A studio innovator behind Pet Sounds and “Good Vibrations,” he later pursued a solo career including SMiLE (2004) and That Lucky Old Sun (2008).
