Brian Eno

He produced the following albums (or at least collaborated on defining the sound): The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway (Genesis), Ruth Is Stranger Than Richard (Robert Wyatt), David Bowie's Berlin Trilogy, all the U2 albums from 1984 to the present, Us (Peter Gabriel), and finally Surprise (Paul Simon). He boasts numerous splendid projects both solo and otherwise, especially "Before And After The Science" from 1977. I think that’s enough for a solid 5 and probably even a little too little.
