883

I must preface (unfortunately necessarily) that I listen to many things considered cultured in the musical realm. That said, I don't mind the early 883 at all, also because (but not only) they are tied to my 20s. If anyone who finds them lacking can provide me with an appropriate analysis that isn't just linked to mere subjective tastes of sound/text and gives me a definition of what can be considered good versus what is not, I would be deeply grateful, but I doubt they can manage it. 883

883 were an Italian pop/pop-rock project initially formed as a duo by Max Pezzali and Mauro Repetto, breaking through in the early 1990s and becoming a major youth-culture phenomenon in Italy. Reviews repeatedly highlight their everyday, youth-focused storytelling and the later shift after Repetto’s departure, with reception ranging from affectionate nostalgia to harsh criticism of repetition and commercial decline.
