While in Leviathan the hardcore component is clearly intelligible, in Blood Mountain the prog blooms and reveals itself through reckless tempos, disorienting melodies, and nauseating circularity. But the leitmotif of their production remains the rawness! Perhaps the most authoritative metal band today.
