Anthony Braxton

I have only had the chance to listen to "For Alto" so far (thanks to Felo for the tip) a couple of times; first listen: an epileptic crisis and a migraine combined with great admiration for the musician in question; second listen: one of the greatest albums I have ever listened to, of Jazz, from the '60s and overall.

Anthony Braxton

Anthony Braxton (born 1945, Chicago) is an American composer and multi‑instrumentalist associated with the AACM. A pivotal figure in avant‑garde jazz, he’s known for complex compositional systems, extended techniques, and the landmark solo-sax album For Alto (1969).
