Cardiacs

Cardiacs are a British art-rock band formed in 1977, led by singer-guitarist and songwriter Tim Smith. Famed for fusing punk urgency with progressive complexity, they built a devoted cult following through audacious arrangements, theatrical flair, and unlikely pop hooks. The group went inactive after 2008 due to Smith’s severe health issues; Tim Smith died in 2020.
