Arthur Blythe

A sharp and precise sound that managed to blend modernity in the Ornette Coleman style with archaic forms (the tuba bass) alongside some amazing groups. A great Master of the alto sax. Nothing less than superb in the Columbia CDs of the '90s (at least among those currently available on CD).
