Jimi Hendrix

"Blues is easy to play, but not to feel," and he felt it tremendously. Hendrix is primarily the innovator of the electric guitar, if not the guitar itself. An excellent composer and performer, especially with his instrument. Without him, rock would have never sounded as we know it.
