Why is it that when an obscure oligarch in the USA dies, there’s just indifference, while when Steve Jobs dies, the reactions of the brainless masses (and feel free to call me elitist or a fucking snob) are the opposite? Indifference vs. idol worship? Yet both were billionaires in life, enriched by peddling useless crap. Ah, right, I remember. Marketing, making something that generates astonishing profits for a handful of clever tricksters appear cool and worthy of a better world. The vote goes to the idolators of Jobs, thoroughly screwed.
