Mario Merola

The greatest singing teacher who brought light to his people in Naples without asking for anything in return was also great because he launched big singers like Nino D'Angelo and good singers like D'Alessio. A good man, my sister took singing lessons from the same person who arranged the songs for her and said that Mario was the kindest man in the world.

Mario Merola

Mario Merola (6 April 1934 – 12 November 2006) was an Italian singer and actor, widely associated with the Neapolitan 'sceneggiata' tradition. He recorded many Neapolitan songs and starred in several melodramatic films.
