Very popular more for their Californian lifestyle imagery than for the music, but enviable for their rhythmic structures. Frusciante is an absolute genius; in fact, his tenures align with the band's best periods. With him in the lineup, they would have made a further and constant leap towards musical innovation; instead, they preferred to stay within their standard. 4 with Frusciante, 6!
