An honest artist, blessed with a good voice and, above all, the ability to make pop that isn’t dumb. Among the various clones of Amy Winehouse (like the unbearable Duffy), she’s the only one with a hint of personality, partly because she manages to infuse a certain theatricality into her songs, which is always a plus.
