For those who label him as a communist, they missed the mark big time. I seem to remember in an interview a while back that he was a sincere Christian Democracy supporter. Definitely anti-Berlusconi. He even won the "Press Freedom" award in 2009... Where? In Germany. What did you think in Italy? Here it was at most given to Fede. And of course, our highly professional media didn’t cover it.

Italian journalist and essayist (born 1964, Turin), noted for investigative reporting and political commentary; worked with Indro Montanelli, co-founded Il Fatto Quotidiano (2009) and has been its editor since 2015.
