His skills as a musician, composer, and lyricist are beyond question, regardless of personal likes or dislikes that should not influence an objective judgment. That said, I personally was not very pleased with his participation in X Factor, which I consider a trashy show, not on the level of Amici, but still trashy nonetheless. However, it must be said that, coincidentally, he brought out the only artist from a talent show that I appreciate.
