How much nonsense you have to hear. If you listen to the right things (and I'm not talking about the trombone solo on Penny Lane, dear Neu!2, but the dozens of brilliant tracks they've written) and you understand something about music, you either respect them or you respect them. There are some objectivities, damn it. Botticelli's Venus may not appeal to you, you can say it didn’t invent anything or that it is ideologically conservative or whatever you want. But there are some objectivities, damn it.
