Because they are generic supermarket items, impersonal, standard, soulless, and a nice voice, or a presumed one, cannot be separated from the quality of the music proposed; a beautiful voice for its own sake is good for absolutely nothing, except for the masturbatory fantasies of some self-proclaimed "inteditore" who then nitpicks Bob Dylan's voice—what a disgrace, what a disgrace, what a disgrace.

Giorgia is an Italian singer-songwriter from Rome known for a powerful, soulful voice that bridges pop, soul and R&B. She rose to national prominence in the 1990s, won the Sanremo Music Festival in 1995 with Come saprei, and has since released acclaimed singles and albums including E poi, Di sole e d’azzurro, Ladra di vento and an MTV Unplugged set.
