The Beatles

Overrated and mythologized a bit too much for sure, but they created, invented, demolished, and renewed POP. I'm not a die-hard fan, but I believe that some of their albums are simply the history of music, and it's not easy to write songs that, after about 50 years, are still known and appreciated by a good part of the people. My favorites remain "Rubber Soul," "Revolver," "Sgt. Pepper's," and "Abbey Road."
