Deep Purple

Slimmed down, downgraded, subjugated, disintegrated? Unlike the Zeppelins, I've never really been fond of them, but one must admit they've had the same significance and they've probably been even more influential. Between Morse and Blackmore, they've always boasted great rock guitarists. I don't feel like giving them a five, so I won't vote, but they definitely deserve it.

Deep Purple

English rock band formed in 1968, pioneers of hard rock. Best-known for classic lineups (notably Mark II) and landmark releases such as Machine Head and the live double Made in Japan.
