Tom Russell

American singer-songwriter born in Los Angeles in 1953, Tom Russell is a baritone-voiced storyteller blending Americana, folk, country and Tex-Mex. He led the Tom Russell Band from 1984 into the mid‑1990s, then a celebrated solo run with concept-driven albums and collaborations with Andrew Hardin, Calexico, Gretchen Peters, Iris DeMent and Dave Van Ronk.
