The most serious thing is this widespread belief that being biased is wrong, and that there exists a "neutral" way of seeing things, meaning true, objective. Since when has it been a crime to view reality limited to one’s own experience? I demand biased people who seriously confront each other; I want the precarious worker angry against the businessman, the pragmatic politician against the ideological intellectual. This is democracy, not pretending to be all calm, clean, and polite.
