The quintessential character from one of the most successful series of recent years, The Office (UK): a man "in his thirties" (39 years old) who is decidedly unattractive and terribly lonely. The office manager of a paper factory, David is endlessly sad, pathetically absurd. He has an obsession with being adored by his employees, but the results he achieves are nothing short of ridiculous. Nothing goes right for him, yet he somehow fails to evoke pity due to the miserable man he is. Fantastic!
