Is the sun relevant? Without a doubt, because it rises every day even though it has existed for billions of years. For us Westerners, Plato is almost as relevant as the sun. All the questions had already been asked by him and the philosophers who preceded him and whom he discusses in his dialogues. If Plato had not existed, even a hairdresser from Voghera, who knows nothing of Plato, would not be exactly that hairdresser from Voghera today.
