Dissolute and brilliant in certain episodes, epic is the one where a nun calls the Vatican to ask Pope John Paul II, now in the grip of senile dementia, about the Church's behavior towards people with disabilities, and he responds by mumbling nonsensical phrases. The latest seasons seem quite disappointing.
