Broken Social Scene

If I had to point out a truly alternative group to something, today, I would say it’s them. They are a pantone of colors, making music rich in ideas, cutting across genres; I feel they embody indie as indie should be. From Canada, with the Broken Social Scene and Arcade Fire, it’s nothing but confirmations.

Broken Social Scene

Formed in Toronto in 1999 by Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning, Broken Social Scene is a Canadian indie-rock collective known for a rotating lineup, lush arrangements, and dynamic live shows. Members and collaborators have included artists from Do Make Say Think and Stars, as well as Feist and Lisa Lobsinger.
