Defining is essential, even if it means to delimit, demarcate, encircle. Exactly the opposite of what one can do regarding one of the most genius, innovative, and influential composers of Rock in its broadest sense. It's obvious to consider his highs (many) and lows (some). One might say: indefinable. But that wouldn't mean much more. Better to say: a progenitor even if not indispensable. As perhaps (almost) anyone else.
