Oasis

Noel is a great songwriter, and Liam has a distinctive voice (or did?). The first two albums are excellent. From all the hyped mainstream bands of the last decade, I haven't heard a song that is worth half of Live Forever. They are also less assholes than they seem.

English rock band formed in Manchester in 1991, led by brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher. Central figures of 1990s Britpop with landmark albums Definitely Maybe (1994) and (What's the Story) Morning Glory? (1995). The group split in 2009.
