The Neu, even if they had only released their debut album in '72, would have nonetheless made an indelible mark on rock. Neu, the clang, the vibration, the restlessness, the alienation, the noise... that dark and annihilating side of rock, which no one before them had managed to expose in such a visceral way! Sshhhh.... negativland...

Neu! were a German krautrock duo formed by Michael Rother and Klaus Dinger, known for the motorik beat, minimalist repetition, and studio experimentation. Their 1970s run is centered on the albums “Neu!” (1972), “Neu! 2” (1973), and “Neu! ’75” (1975).
